Upgrades break subversion

At Quotepro, we have a need to version our numerous wordpress installations. We love the new automatic upgrade features, plugin upgrades, etc.

This allows our designers/security guys to apply updates without requiring programmer intervention. However, when we go to update our repository with their changes, all the .svn meta data is missing.

Our request is that instead of deleting the existing plugin folders, that you would diff them, copy new files into the existing plugin, delete ones that no longer exist and leave any hidden files, like .svn alone!!
