  • I have trashed an old home (front) page and replaced with a new one. But on the top navigation bar the home link continues to search for the old home page (called “exhome”)even though it has been trashed. When you click on the banner, however, it links to the correct home page.I am Using Twenty Eleven theme. Here’s the link: http://www.allanmarkman.com

  • What I would do is to replace the menu item for Home with a new Link menu item that points to your site.

    1. Go to Appearance → Menus.
    2. In the Menu Structure section, remove the Home menu item by expanding it and clicking the Remove link.
    3. On the left should be a section labeled Custom Links. If you don’t have one, then click the Screen Options tab in the upper right corner of your screen and check the box labeled Custom Links and it will appear on the left side.
    4. Create a new Custom Links menu item by using http://allanmarkman.com/ as the URL and Home as the Link text.
    5. Click the Add to Menu button and then click & drag your new Home menu item up to where the old one used to be.
    6. Click the Save Menu button.

    Perfect!! Fixed. Thanks

Wow, that’s a pretty good site customization. I like the different header images for each page.
