The domain was renewed in 1-2 weeks of it going out of service
Check your name servers point correctly to your hosting. Domain renew wont affect your site as it depends on the hosting. if hosting has not been expired or something like that then check your domain resolve to your hosting name server. as it may take 1/2 days they call it domain NS propagation.
I am still confused I apologize. I have domain hosting with iPage also. Do you have any directions for this. iPage says they pointed my domain to their server. I can not find a hello article with directions. Can you point me to one?

Is the domain registered with iPage or someone else? Use a tool like this to see if you’re unsure.
If your hosting is with iPage and that didn’t expire then you’re website will still be there, you just can’t see it because there is no domain attached to it.
The next step is to re-register your domain if it has expired and then point it to your hosting details.

Yes it is registered through iPage. They told me they do not have a backup of our site….this is the info from the tool you provided me. The hosting never expired with them.

Your domain is indeed registered (now expires on 25 april 2016 after being renewed on 15 may 2015 so I guess it was initially registered for 2 years in 2013, and was suspended for non-renewal between 25 april 2015 and 15 may 2015).
It is set on DNS by ipage.COM, and is hosted on IP 66.96.147.65 – is this supposed to be your hosting server ? Your hosting provider will tell you.
If the hosting IP is corrected, it may simply be that your hosting space has a default index(.html ?) page generated by your hosting company when an account is created, and that takes precedence over your WordPress index.

I think I am almost to the point where I can get my site back. iPage is telling me that the issue is I need the external server and not theirs. Can anyone tell me what server WordPress would have had me on? This is what I need to get my site back…..
Currently, the website is loading with the default Home.html file.

No one can tell you what server your site resides on. I would either contact your hosting provider to get this resolved, or consider hiring someone on either of these sites:

the issue is the new hosting site does not have the old server information to get my site back…..it is missing…no one can tell me where my site is or how to access it
