All items in my store are $25/ea.

I would like to offer a discount on all additional items for $20/ea.

The first items should ALWAYS be full price. So qty 1 = $25, qty 2+ = first 1 $25, all others $20.

Is this possible with your extension? I don’t understand how I would set this up. You only have to pay full price ONCE, then all additional items are discounted.

    Hi,
Thanks for your query. Not sure I got what you need, but if what you’re asking about is what I call a Pricing Tier, here’s the example you need:
    http://www.varktech.com/documentation/pricing-deals/examples/#advanced
look for “Pricing Tiers – Buy 2-4, get 10% off, Buy 5-10 15% off”

I’m still a little confused. My client sells CDs and DVDs. First one (of either) is $25.00, tax and shipping are included. Additional CDs of DVDs are $10.00, tax and shipping included. No limits to how many — just have to buy one at $25 to get the others for $10. Seems like it should be very simple, but the Pricing Tier documentation is throwing me.

    Thanks in advance.

    try this example:
“Buy a NZ Gala Apple, get the next One Free”
    changes:
    Show Me : Advanced
Buy Group Rule Usage Count : Apply Rule Once per Cart
Get Group Amount Type : Discount Unit Quantity
Get Group Amount Count : 1
Get Group Group Repeat : unlimited

Well … I tried this using both 1 and 2 in the BUY GROUP > Group Amount. I do not see the option for Get Group Amount Type. Is this only in the Pro version?

My products are variable. Would that make a difference?

    Hi,
    Variable products fully supported…

If what you want is ‘buy 1, get all the rest at a discount’
    change the following:

Buy Group Group amount Buy Unit qty : 1
Get Group Group Product Filter: Discount Group Same as Buy Group
Get Group Group amount Discount next unit qty : 1

    That will do it…

The solution you sent me works perfectly. However, now my client only wants discounts when someone buys multiple of the SAME DVD or Blu-ray, not on any combination of them. How can I fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Currently, there are two ways to do this, both requiring the Pro version.

    (1) individual rule for each product
    (2) general rule which uses a user-created custom PHP function which works with a Pricing Deals WordPress filter to ensure that the discount only applies to the same item…

I have purchased the Pro version. Where can I find out how to do this? Do I have to start all over?

    Hi,
Pro support is really not supposed to be on this forum. WordPress prefers it to be via a private channel. So please continue this discussion using my support channel, http://www.varktech.com/support/ .
