how to remove powered by wordpress in singl theme

    I have a friend that is using the Singl theme and wan’t the powered by wordpress and singl blurb gone.

    I have already tried editing the style.css with:

    #site-generator {
    display: none;
    }

    It didn’t work.

    Any help please?
