Can't preview drafts of posts or pages

    Recently migrated beta site of existing site to the root directory by moving index.php and .htaccess to the root, leaving all other files in subfolder. General settings are the following:
    WordPress Address (URL) http://newsite.eveyohalem.com
    Site Address (URL) http://eveyohalem.com
    Trying to preview I get 404 error/not found. When I publish, all’s well.
    Otherwise, site is working fine. I’ve seen other forum posts about this, but didn’t see a solution.
