My jpgs and pngs are not uploading

    Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this? When I first started using wordpress it let me upload my jpgs and pngs just fine. Now, I receive a “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.” error. I am fairly new to wordpress….I have already tried looking through past threads about this topic, but they do not help me in any way, and are older threads with the older version.

    It has been at least five days that I have been unable to upload images. I am using a different computer to upload than I previously was.

    Are you able to upload other file types?

    What hosting are you using?

    It would not let me upload any type of file whatsoever….My host is WebEasy.com because we will be making our wordpress website become our old webeasy site.

    My coworker and I found out that it is something inside the child theme that we created. She is trying to make wordpress let us upload some restricted file types,(I think EPUB files), so she thinks that has something to do with it.

    So that I can upload pictures right now, the website is using the Twenty Thirteen theme, not the child theme from that. Would you have any idea what html/css would need to be put in so that we can upload those restricted file types but still upload jpgs and pngs as well? Thanks!
