    Hello,

I want to develop a map-based website with (publicly) published posts about travel destinations.

However, I also want to write a personal (private) blog about my visits to these places with personal photos.

(I have seen the private content plugin but just want to be sure there aren’t other possibly better ways of doing this).

So how can I best do this as one website, so that as a logged in user I can see both the public and private information in the same post/at the same time (and the public only see the public info)?

    Many thanks for your advice

I now think this will be simplest as 2 separate sites.

A public site displaying destination posts with a ‘personal’ category and the post date set to the order I visited them.

Then use an RSS feed to pull these posts to a second site – my personal blog.

So, my next question is how can I display these posts, while also attaching further information to them?

I am thinking a linked database table and that perhaps I could use a Custom Post Type to do this but I need further advice.

Alternatively, perhaps this is better in reverse?

    Can anyone help?

I am going to rephrase this question
