• I’ve pored over the forum postings and examined the help files but cannot find what the problem is.

I’d really like a sitemap file for my blog

I have W3 Total Cache installed but not the 404 handling and no minify, only the browser caching. Even so, I’ve added the file exclusion specified on the help pages ([a-z]+)?-?sitemap.xsl to these two areas.

I go to settings for Yoast XML sitemap and it says there are three sitemaps available.

I visit my server and no xml files are there, not in the location Yoast says they are, not anywhere in the blog directory tree.

What gives? How can I get Yoast SEO to generate sitemaps?

BTW what is an .xsl file and why is this specified over .xml?
