  • You can reset the settings but going to the settings menu of this plugin.

How do I do that? I can’t access the menu/settins or the WP admin dashboard when I’ve activated the plugin because I get logged out and I can’t get back in unless I’ve deactivated it again.

Alternatively if you feel comfortable logging into PHPMyAdmin, you can go to the “aiowps_login_lockdown” table and delete the latest row which has your IP address in the “failed_login_ip” column.

Thanks for all the replies! 🙂

I deleted my IP address row in the “failed_login_ip” column and also deleted the aio_wp_security_configs row in the “options” table. Then I deleted the plugin folders (inlcuding the backup folder) and reinstalled it, it works fine now.

I was also wondering, is there a feature that would allow to whitelist certain IP addresses to prevent them from getting banned? The current whitelist feature seems to exclude access by all addresses that are not in the list. I understand why that can be useful, just wondering if there’s an easier way to prevent accidental lockdowns by actual users/admins like it happened to me.

Anyway, AIOWPS is a great plugin and it’s good to know my site is safe.

@shinri yes there is. Go to Brute Force -> Login whitelist -> Enter Whitelisted IP Addresses:

If your issue is resolved can you also mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you
