Products not showing

Hi,
Am fairly new to woocommerce so bare with me please.

I have created 2 categories “test 1” and “test 2” of which I made “test 2” a subcategory of test 1.

I added a product to “test 1” and a product to “test 2”

display options set to:
Shop Page Display -Show categories & subcategories
Default Category Display -Show products

Now I go to the main shop page and it shows category “test 1” product count 2.

Now I click “test 1” and the page will show category “test 2” product count 1.

Now click “test 2” it will show the product in category “test 2”.

So question where should I see the product I put in category “test 1”?

Or should a parent category not have products if it has sub-categories?
