advanced archives query Exclude category X

This should “i hope” be a really easy question to answer.

I want to use this snippit of code
<?php wp_get_archives(‘type=postbypost&limit=10’); ?>

But I want to exclude category 19 from my results.

So in plain english I want the 10 most recent posts with the exception of any post from category 19.

Any ideas?
