Sounds like there is an open <strong>
tag or <b>
tag somewhere are the top of the page. I am not sure this is WordPress or not but I would start with the basics.
Deactivate all plugins. Did the problem go away?
If so, activate each plugin one at a time until the problem starts again.
If the plugins are not the issue, change your theme to Twenty Fifteen and deactivate all plugins. Did the the problem go away?
Most like, it is going to be a theme issue or a plugin issue. In the case that it is an issue with the upgrade, you may have to upgrade again, but this time do it manually.
Keep us informed on your finding here 🙂
Hi Justin,
thank you for your message, I will try it later, because I have only “live” website now – so I can not turn of plugins or change theme 🙂 (after today upgrade to 4.2.2. it is still same – strong)
Maybe interesting is, that it is same – everything strong – in login page?
I am not able to see anything strong on the login page. Since it did not change after the update, I would think it was a plugin causing the issue.
You will benefit from creating a staging or development environment so you can test and debug in for the issue at hand now and any updates/issues in the future.
Everything is strong/bold – “username”, “password” and all other text in login page 🙂 (but not in code) So yes, I will try turn of the plugins or other theme, thank you
Your login page looks fine, there’s nothing bold on it.
Perhaps your system had the fonts changed recently?
If you have any password/form management extensions for you browser, they could be causing the labels to bold out as well.
Uff, that´s right, in another pc it is ok! Sorry guys. But definitely I dont know why I have it strong :)) because my other wordpress websites are ok (in this pc too), only this one is bold/strong. It is crazy
Password/form extensions I don´t have (Chrome 42.0.2311.135)
If you have no extensions for your browser then it would not be the browser, If it is one PC, its more than likely is not a plugin or theme. Otto may have the best advice here
Font changes – I don´t think so :/ In IE it is ok too, in this PC- it is only problem with Chrome, in one PC :)) So it is nothing grave, but it is interesting
So it was some problem with installed google font open sans – after uninstal, everything is ok 🙂
Thanks a lot for your help guys!
Awesome! Thanks for the update and solution.
