• I manage several client sites with your plugin. It’s driving me crazy that every time it’s updated I have to go in and manually change the settings. Clients do NOT want the related content automatically enabled. It’s a PITA to have to manually intervene for every update. WHY!? Can you please stop this practice? Thank you.

  • Hi Sheila,

Sorry to hear that. That shouldn’t happen since we don’t change WP settings from our end. Does this happen every time you update the plugin? Can you provide steps to on how you update the plugin? I’d like to try to reproduce the issue. 🙂

    Thank you,
    Mary Anne

Thanks Mary Anne. I’ve had this happen in the past. I’ve been trying to watch for a pattern and cannot reproduce it. I have all my client sites managed in InfiniteWP so normally I just click there to update all. But since I know I have this periodic issue, what I did yesterday was open each site and update them individually, the normal way, clicking update. Most did not do this but two did. They were all the same version. I keep things updated for my clients. I have nothing to show you now because I fixed them all. But on this client site, http://www.stillpointleadership.com when it was updated automatically she got related post images under each post AND she got her sharing icons that should ONLY be on posts, displaying on the bottom of pages including items in sidebars! Really UGLY which is what prompted me to post my complaint. It’s also what prompted me to do the rest manually. Only one other one needed manual intervention this time. But it makes me hesitant to trust automatically updating via IWP. And as I said, I’ve seen this in the past. Sorry I can’t help more.

This is TOTALLY unrelated but since I have your ear I’m hoping you won’t mind answering this question… is it possible with this plugin to have the click of an icon present a copyable sharing link ala YouTube? I have a client who wants that and I’ve never seen that anywhere. Thanks.
