All servers are different. We can’t just give you a list of specific settings that will solve your problem. We don’t know what’s causing your import to run slowly.
You can:
1) Have your host remove any artificial limits they’ve put in place that would slow down your import.
2) Try your import without images – it’s possible the server hosting your images is slow and that’s where the bottleneck is.
3) De-activate all your other active WordPress plugins and activate a default WordPress theme – it’s possible one of them does something every time a post is created that takes a long time.
