events_list scope, group events by posted date

greetings

is it possible to have an events_list scope grouped by date of post?
in we have a lot of events, it is very usefull for the visitors to have this view avialable.

if is not possible with events_list scope, can anybody tell me how can i set a page for this, to show to visitors the events grouped by posted date?
