zip file splitting functionality not working

I have UpdraftPlus 1.9.64 installed. I have a value of 25MB in the expert settings in order to be able to send the backup to email. However, this doesn’t seem to be working. I am getting message
Warning: backup_2015-04-27-0730_XXXX-others8.zip: This backup archive is 41.3 Mb in size – the attempt to send this via email is likely to fail (few email servers allow attachments of this size). If so, you should switch to using a different remote storage method.
(XXXX being my website).
Furthermore, I went to expert settings and tried to change the value from 25MB to 20MB, saved the settings, came back to look at it, and noted that it was still 25MB.
