ERROR: Author (fb) does not exist on target system!

    hi there,

    I just installed “copy post” … figured it out and started to copy. but whatever I did,
    the script got always stuck with the same errormessage:

    ERROR: Author (fb) does not exist on target system!

    now I made sure, that the same users exist on both wp-systems …
    didnt change a thing. doesnt work …

    only thing I m not sure in the config of “copy post” is the
    Remote Database Host
    and I filled in “localhost” as this is the only information I have about the location of
    the database.

    does anybody know if the databaseconnection has been achieved already once it gives out that specific errormessage. to me it seems the error is something else than the missing author …

    Hi,
    sorry but it seems you’re talking about another plugin, “Duplicate post” does not copy from one installation of WP to another…

    hi lopo,

    thanx, yes as I wrote “copy post” you re right, this isnt the plugins supportpage I was looking for. I found the right supportpages and comes out, that “copy post” is not supported anymore and people had the same problems I have now already 3-4 years ago.

    I like the idea of “copy post” very much: copy single posts (not the entire blog) into other wp-instances on the same or other websites. I m wondering that it seems to me there s no plugin for wp yet doing this?!

    please tell me, if you know about a plugin thats doing what I m looking for.
