Enews doesn't work with MailPoet

    Hi There –

    I’m not sure when the plugin quit working. But users cannot subscribe to mailpoet’s newsletter via enews. When subscribing, nothing happens – the page refreshes itself. When checking mailpoet’s subscribers, the new subscribers are not listed – therefore not being able to subscribe to mailpoet newsletter via enews extended.

    I’ve researched this and it seems like the issue has been going on for nearly 6 months. I couldn’t find anything that led to a resolution.

    Any suggestions?

    Just wanted to add, that I saw this;

    And a note that was added a month ago with some text “Add Mailpoet Confirmation Text.” When will this be added to the plugin for us to update?

    Still need to resolve the issue of subscribers not being able to subscribe.

    @abfchgirlx – I’ve been yet to duplicate the problem… none of my test sites with MailPoet will fail to subscribe someone.

    There is an update coming. I was waiting for another contribution, but going to call it a day and release what’s there soon.

    I’m running into a similar issue, though the confirmation emails are being sent.

    The widget is in the footer, and when a user submits the sign-up form the page reloads and stays at the top. If the user were to scroll down they would see the MailPoet confirmation notice, but that’s asking a lot for most users, probably.

    MailPoet’s built-in widget handles the confirmation notice nicely with some AJAX, I believe, leaving the page in the same position and displaying the confirmation notice where the user would expect to see it, though eNews is the better widget overall.

    Any chance we can see this same behavior with eNews Extended and MailPoet?
