Support » Fixing WordPress » Can not see text or tool bar in Classic Editor

  • Hello, since updating wordpress to 4.2 last night I have not been able to add new posts.

Using the classic editor, the text that is typed can not be seen and there is no toolbar to allow me to edit the text.

My site is http://www.tamworthinformed.co.uk and all appears ok at the front end.

    Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I have tried on different browsers and from both mobile and desktop

I know I’ll seem impatient but please can someone help with this?

I’m using a custom theme but have tried reverting to 2015 – 2013 and also tried switching off every single plug in.

Have tried on IE, chrome desktop, chrome mobile, and a Samsung browser.

It has only occurred since the update and I urgently need to get some posts out.

    Thanks all.

Did you see the troubleshooting thread at the top of this forum:

    Short version –
Try deactivating you plugins to see if any are causing that problem. IF not, try switching to a default theme (Twenty Fifteen) to see if it’s theme-specific.
