First, remove all of the changes you made to wp-config.php. Those should only be considered temporary changes for emergencies only.
Next, follow this guide to properly change the siteurl and home values directly in the database: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database
Based on what you’re saying they should both be:
http://www.airecanada.com

Thanks, I removed all the settings that didn’t correct the issue as I went through them.
I had been through that article
Both are set in the database as shown below
WordPress Address (URL) http://www.airecanada.com
Site Address (URL) http://www.airecanada.com
The public portions of the site work just fine, it’s only attempting to go to wp-admin that causes this.

Double-check your wp-config.php file, as well as your theme functions file.
Something is forcing your home directory to be http://www.airecanada.com/blogs

Theme is Twenty Thirteen (1.5)
I have confirmed that the no url appears in the wp-config.php
only the new url appears in the wp-options table in the database.
I checked the functions.php in /wp-content/themes/twentythirteen
I could not find a reference to any url.
Thanks

If I go directly to http://www.airecanada.com/wp-login.php
I am able to logon without an issue.
Nice.
Now go check in Settings and see if you have the /Blogs added anywhere.

I was always able to use that link to logon directly even before all the steps I tried to figure out why the redirect is wrong

At Settings -> General, are both URLs http://www.airecanada.com
And, are the greyed out or editable?

I searched the entire directory WordPress is installed in and found blogs in the following
common.js and common.min.js
td.column-blogs
Looks fine to me.
assorted readme.txt and readme.html
twentyfourteen-rtl.css and twentyfourteen.css
.widget_jp_blogs_i_follow
(not the theme I am using and both look fine to me)
example.html
A free, GPL, flexible icon font for blogs!
I did find blogs in some *wfcache.html files but only in this class
<div class=”fts-tweeter-wrap feed_dynamic_classQJMHZqiJUa_twitterFeed”>
and they all look like links form old tweets with the old url in them.
I am moving on to searching the database in the same way

I can see from wp_wfHits the some crawlers and jetpack are connecting to the old url, but many are using the new one.
I reconnected jetpack and it looks good, but I am not sure if there is another jetpack process out there still looking at the old url
I see in wp_wfFileMods there appears to be a directory listing of all the old files and new ones and md5 hashes? Perhaps this is part of the wordfence check? I am not sure if this is an issue or not
the wp_posts table has a lot of messed up stuff in the guids field, by my reading on this is just a globally unique identifier and shouldn’t matter?

Ok, something is making a temporary redirect.
1. What is the contents of your .htaccess
file?
2. Is there a .htaccess
file in /wp-admin/
and if so, what are the content of that?
3. Have you ever used WordFence to change your login URL?
