It can be another plugin interferring, or a browser ralated issue.
Does it work from the admin panel ?
Try and right click on the link, copy link location and paste it here
I shall check and let you know.
I have the same problem with the user level Author when I click set feature image on the frontend it lead to the home page not my media library

Have you upgraded to wp 4.2 ?
I can see thet there are other error reports on this for other plugins.
It works fine on my sites, but I will look into it.

I have downgraded to wordpress version 4.1.4 and the Author still can’t set feature image (the pop up lead to homepage). should I downgrade it further?

Hi,
It is working for me at my sites with WP 4.2 & 4.2.1
Can you try and right click on the set featured image link, and paste the link here ?
It should look like this:
http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/media-upload.php?post_id=1242&type=image&TB_iframe=1
And also check that you don’t have any pop-up blockers, or add remove security features in your browser.
I have the same problem, latest version of WordPress and this plugin, the featured image link seems to be correct but it just redirects to the frontpage of the website in a popup…..
