Redesigning – what to do when finished

I’m designing a new version of my website and have installed it on a subdomain on my server so dev.dotcolour.co.uk/dev. When I finish it all and want to bring it over to dotcolour.co.uk will there be major issues in doing this in regards to links etc?

Just trying to find out before I spend hours which turn out to be a waste of time 🙂
