Does it handle also existing WordPress Posts?

    Hi,

    I would like to know if this will work also if I already have posts posted before I installed and activated this plugin? I mean if this will protect those existing posts or just those new/upcoming posts after it was activated.

    Hi zazgo,

    Thanks for your interest in the plugin. The plugin will protect all WordPress posts from comment spam, so anything you have already created and anything you create in the future will be protected.

    If you’re asking if it filters existing comments, it does not do that. The plugin works like a spam firewall so it will keep spam completely out of the WordPress database.

    WP-SpamShield is different from other anti-spam plugins in that it BLOCKS spam at the front door and doesn’t allow it into the WordPress database¹ at all. Many other anti-spam plugins simply label a comment as spam, leaving you to sort through a queue, which wastes your valuable time. WP-SpamShield will give you back your time!
