    Hey @rjh1990 ,

Unfortunately, there is not a reliable way to add a ticket successfully in the backend. In OpenTickets Community Edition, there is not a way to select the event that the ticket is for, when entering it in the backend. Since entering it in the backend never actually assigns the ticket to an event, the ‘resync order items to tickets’ tool will do nothing, because no association was ever made. All that tool does is repair associations that were made, and then lost because of some data migration issue or external plugin interference.

Community Edition is meant to be simple ticketing. It is designed to allow you to sell tickets to end users through an online experience. It is not meant to be a complete set of box office tools. With that in mind, we do have an Enterprise Edition that is meant to provide all the tools you need to successfully run an entire box office. On such tool is the ability to add tickets to an order via the admin, and actually having that ticket associated to an event. Enterprise comes with many many other features though, like taking payments in the admin, advance reporting, seating charts, etc. Check it out on our website, because it could be an option for you, since it seems like you are starting to step out of the “simple ticketing environment” and into the “I run a box-office” environment.
