If you can see the default pages, localhost is probably not causing any problems.
Giving a link to your site might be helpful.
Do you have any plugins installed? If yes, what are your active plugins.
Your question is very brief. What kinds of changes have you tried to make?
Do you get any error messages?
Wslade thank you for your answer.
The thing is that I can’t see anything in my web refering to WordPress. I can go to wp-admin and see wordpress dashboard, but when I go to the web site I can only see a message of the web hosting “web under construction”. Nothing about WordPress… But if I can Access My Dashboard and start making changes, why can’t I see anything in the web?
Thanks
I should maybe reinstall wordpress?
Hi,
Firstly navigate to wp-config.php file of your WordPres installation.
Edit this file and add following two lines (if they do not exist) to your wp-config.php, where “example.com” is the correct website name.
define('WP_HOME','http://example.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','http://example.com');
If it does not show your Website page, locate parking page “web under construction” and remove it. You can also contact your Web Hosting provider to set correct index page to your WordPress website and remove the parking page.
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Thanks for your answer Accuwebhosting.
I’ll try to add the code to the file and see.
However, how do I locate a parking page?
Hi,
It would be great help if you share your WordPress website name. I assume that you are using DNS services of your domain registrar and they have parked page to your domain. So, when you are browsing your website, it is showing “web under construction” page.
If you are using web hosting provider’s DNS services then you would find Parking page in your hosting space like following:
index.html
index.php
default.php
Thanks,
Thanks. But adding those two lines to wp_config.php is not working…
Can I remove this file: index.html (Under construction from hosting provider)? Maybe if I do it starts working
The file index.php is refering to WordPress.
And the file default.php does not exist.
Hi,
Rather removing this file, I would suggest you to move it to outside the public_html folder.
If it does not fix your issue, please post back.
Thanks,
