I’m looking for a plugin for managing workflow with a pretty specific hierarchy.

District Managers have General Managers. When a General Manager makes an edit, it should notify his specific District Manager, who can then publish.

Alternatively, I would happily settle for a plugin that allowed me to assign any number of “supervisors” to a user from a list of all users, who would be notified when the lower level user makes edits.

Is anyone aware of anything like this? I’ve tried Edit Flow, Oasis, and the like, but none of them accomplish this.

Oasis Workflow has an add on called “Teams” add on which will work for your requirements. – http://www.oasisworkflow.com/extensions/oasis-workflow-teams

Essentially, it allows you to create Teams and put all the related members in one team.

When you submit to a workflow, you simply select the team you want to assign the work to and then the assignments flow to the respective users in the team which hold that role.

So, in your case, only the specific District Manager will be notified.

The caveat is that the “Teams” add on only works with the “Pro” version of Oasis Workflow plugin.

    Hope this helps.
