I recently started using WordPress Zero Spam and I’m super-glad that I no longer have to deal with spam messages (all other spam plugins I tried before still needed a lot of click-work every few days to handle spam).

One problem I’m having though is that I’m getting reports of some legitimate users who try to access the website and are IP-blocked.

The affected users ran virus/malware scans to make sure their machines weren’t hacked, but nothing turned up. So my suspicion is that their dynamic IP at home was previously owned by a spammer.

Does Zero Spam automatically remove blocked IPs from the blacklist after a certain amount of time has passed – i.e. can I just tell the affected users to wait a bit until they have access automatically restored, or do I need to manually track down their IP and unban them (because bans don’t auto-remove but are permanent)?

    cheers
