Since Tracks is responsive, we generally don’t recommend using other themes for different screen widths. This way the site stays fast and provides a consistent experience for visitors across devices.
Is there something in particular that you don’t like about its appearance on mobile/tablet devices?
The theme I seem to be using doesn’t seem to resemble Tracks at all. Again, I can’t tell if it’s a theme provided by the plugins or if it is the default theme.
It doesn’t allow for the logo or featured image and when people comment on posts it seems to group them all onto the latest post.
Whats the best mobile compatible theme should I used for my website
I have been looking around and am abit confused.
Also a free one should do just fine for me

@shadowsatthedoor Hmm ok that must be provided by a plugin. This is what Tracks should look like on mobile devices: http://pics.competethemes.com/image/0S0D0m1S3o14
You can verify on your device by visiting the live demo: https://www.competethemes.com/tracks-live-demo/
@gihugo Tracks is a responsive theme, so you won’t need a separate theme for mobile. Being responsive means it adapts to all devices.
Hi Ben,
Thanks. hat would look great on mobiles. I currently have no plugins installed for mobile themes but I still get something completely different.
I’m using child theme while hosting on godaddy.
Any suggestions?
Okay thanks for the info. I checked on a mobile device (on a wifi connection) and everything is looking correct for me except for the logo.
I believe what is happening is that since the images are very large (in terms of filesize eg 5MB), the connection is timing out and the images are not being loaded. For the logo, it displayed the alt text of the image instead of the image itself (Shadows at the Door).
I know the quality of the images is important for your site, but the images can be optimized quite a bit without sacrificing any (or little) quality. The logo image is 5,460px wide – that can be made ~2,400px wide and still look crisp on most devices. Then, a tool like compressor.io can be used to losslessly compress the image (and lossy if you’d like).
I think once the image sizes are down, the site will be able to load everything and work properly
Actually Ben, I owe you an apology – I found a plugin that had somehow hidden itself!
When I viewed it on my phone just now, it looked absolutely fine 🙂
Thanks for your time, as usual! 🙂
Alright that works too 🙂
Glad it’s looking good now!
Thanks Ben ,i really appreciate:)
