    Hi there

I would like to encourage front end submissions and event management so therefore would like to hide the admin bar option that appears with NEW Location / Event / Recurring Event in the drop down.

Because i have a membership tool it forces people away from the backend so it breaks up the experience a little with the option showing currently.

Can I remove it as as setting in the admin area or do I need to manipulate code?

Yes – I created a standard Subscriber account and when logged in I see the WordPress admin bar at the top of the screen and it has a little drop down menu appear on left hand side with links to location / event / recurring event.

I only want subscribers to be able to see the front end, these links go to the admin area. Am I able to remove it or point them to front end pages?

i see, you can use other wordpress plugin that can disable the admin bar from displaying in the frontend.
