Hi all: I upgraded a 2.6.5 wordpress site to 2.7, which seems to have worked well. But there is a pretty big issue: when trying to edit a post or create one, the 3 panels PUBLISH, TAGS, CATEGORIES to the right side of the text editor are displayed as overlapping the icon menu bar and the text box. Tried to move them around, not possible.

This issue is on both Firefox 3.0 and Google Chrome 1.1. Have others experienced this? Any solution or workaround? (don’t want to remove the panels since they are the most important in the editing screen)

I also have a screen shot, but I’m not seeing a way to upload a file…

After more research, I disabled all plugins and re-loaded them 1 by 1… it is tinyMCE v2.3 (latest as of today) that breaks the display. Disabled it and resolved.

Hi, I had the same problem and found this thread. The core problem here is caused by the menu bars in TinyMCE being too long. The simple solution is to leave TinyMCE activated and reconfigure the tool bars with fewer icons.
