Credit Card Entry Form – Keep Input Sticky

After customers have entered their card details and then realise they need to change information outside of the credit card fields (such as amend the billing or shipping address – yet still on the same page), when they return to the credit card section all the details they entered are gone.
How can I change this behaviour so the credit card details are not lost and customers can proceed to submit their payment?
