Hi, I looked at this plugin as it might be just what I need for a simple project that is invariably turning out to be much much longer than I wanted it to be, but hey ho! I essentially want to create a post that has a single random image from my media folder (or another specified location) in it.

Anyway, I got this error when I activated it:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function cmb_metabox_form() in /home/content/90/11698390/html/sr/wp-content/plugins/wp-random-post-thumbnails/classes/class-wprpt-options.php on line 127

Im running WordPress 4.1.1 using the Fifteen theme.

    Hello Beaverman!

Thank you for reaching out (and thanks for giving my plugin a shot)! I was able to duplicate your issue and it is now fixed. Please update to the latest version of the plugin.

From what you’re describing, I think this plugin should help you do what you need (provided you want the image to be the featured image of the single post). For the single post you’d like to show a random image for, don’t set a featured image. Any posts without a featured image will show one of the random images uploaded through the settings page as the featured image for that post.

If this isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, please let me know! I’m open to adding additional functionality to meet your needs. 🙂
