I think your site is running into a PHP memory limit. Can you set the option “Split by” to “Year” or “Month” for this post type?

I will do that, but I think that won’t help. The site is a migration so all those products probably have the same date.

I assume month would be a better split?

Can I dump the sitemap to a static file to start?

Also, I just checked the server and memory is not currently a problem. There seems to be plenty.

I don’t think I can upload a graph, but mem usage is way below limit.

I have set the split to “month” for products.

OK, if all have the same date then you are right, this will not fix it… It’s not the server memory but the allowed PHP memory limit that is the ‘problem’ here. You should be able to manage that from the servers php.ini file or (if it’s an Apache server) from the .htaccess or even from the wp-config.php file ( see https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP ) …

Or you could change the date of half the products to another month.

In any case, both options are not ideal. Increasing the PHP memory_limit might get it working but the sitemap will remain slow. And changing 2250 product dates manually will keep YOU busy for a month…

I’ll consider a Split by Number option as a feature request, but in the mean time you might be better off with another sitemap plugin.
