Hi there and thank you for a fantastic Events list.

I have a small problem getting the date syntax correct in this calendar:
    http://www.stjordalkirken.no/icalender

This is a Norwegian web page (with the lang set to Norwegian). The days and months show correct, related to the local language settings in WP.

The problem is the “th” in “søn 29th mar”. In Norwegian it’s 29. with a dot instead of the th.

The Choose date localisation method is set to “wp”, but it does not seem to be any other way if i change this.

If you could give a hint how to fix this, it would be great. This may be a severe attack of the famous smack on the forehead syndrom, but never the less… 🙂

I use WP 4.1.1 and Amr ical list 4.18.

    Same wish 🙂 in Finland

I’ll use this fabulous plugin right away if the date format is nothern/european style: 29.3.2015 (= 03/29/2015 USA-style)
    or 29. maa 2015 (= 29th mar 2015 USA-style)

I believe I found the solution to the problem in the Danish .po-file.

I have translated/adjusted the Danish file to Norwegian (quite similar language).

Here is a link to a file with the Norwegian translation:

Just in case someone can make use of it.

I cant, because I didn’t manage to open the .mo-file to do something with that one. But at least it’s translated. 🙂

Thanks again for a great plugin.

Actually guys, it should all already be totally in your control for each list (you might want different formats for different lists), in the same way that you can control wordpress general date and time settings.

    See

    1. http://icalevents.com/4386-dates-times-formatting/
    2. http://icalevents.com/2110-how-to-format-the-date-or-time-for-groupings/
    3. http://icalevents.com/support/documentation/languages-and-localisation-dates/

    and
    http://php.net/manual/en/datetime.formats.date.php

    I think you want
    DD.MM.YY
    or
    DD. m YY

What you found in the translation files was probably the translation texts for what I call the ‘pretty printing’ for recurring rules. For all days of week and months etc wordpress translations will be used.

Thanks for the norwegian file, I’ll ‘mo’ it and upload in next update.

I just could not imagine that your plugin is this advanced. Awesome!

    du er velkommen 😉

I aim to have my plugins be as ‘international’ as possible, despite having limited language skills myself. I’m glad you find it helpful
