S2member and Buddypress open (free) registration

Hello,

I saw the video (http://www.s2member.com/kb/buddypress-s2member-video/) for buddypress and S2member registration.

I am using S2Member basic version (not pro). The video says to select no for open registration. How to I create an open registration with no on open registration? Is that only possible if I use the pro version or could I do that with the basic version as well?
