Removing black category boxes at the top of each category page

Hi there.
I’m using Sneak lite theme and I am having this issue on my categories pages. I have my categories on my top menu bar–one that has my blog, and then 3 more categories pages. When you click on any of these categories the page it directs you to has a large black box that says “Category: Blog” or “Category: Shop”. I have tried googling this and searching the forum for this specific issue but only found out how to remove meta boxes which is not the problem. These boxes are pointless and look ugly and unprofessional. Is this just a Sneak lite theme issue? I have zero experience with using CSS, but could this be fixed by deleting some code? Perhaps the problem is I’m not sure what to call it since it’s just a black box at the top of the page.
