    Hi,

I’m having trouble accessing the backend of my website – I migrated it from another server and am worried it’s possibly a database issue.

I have checked .htaccess (removed custom code etc.), wp-config, the siteurl and home database tables under wp_options, and even disabled cache and security plugins via FTP – but no success.

    Where am I going wrong?

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi Bet,

Wow, silly me! The issue resolved when I reset all my plugins via phpMyAdmin (not via FTP) – I should’ve tried that first!

    Now I know it’s plugin related.. 🙂

    Thanks!
