Yes go to Settings->Discussion
Under the first category called “Default article settings”
uncheck “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”
Then don’t forget to press save!
Unfortunately this only turns off trackbacks for any new posts. To remove it from already published posts you need to go into each post individually and remove the check from the box.
If you don’t see the discussion checkboxes on your posts then go to Screen Options at the top of the page and check Discussion to see them.

Hi thanks for replying to my post, the thing is I already have all those options selected , I can’t understand how it’s happening as the page is not a blog post where there’s anywhere to add a comment and all comments are disabled on my pages anyway, the last time I had this sort of problem was a while ago ( from the same url) it said I had a comment on my slider ! I just don’t get the point of what the spammer is trying to do as you can’t see his comments… What is it all about ! … I’m confused…. Life’s a mystery!

You mean you have all those options unselected?
Did you go to the individual page to see if the trackbacks and pingbacks discussion box is unchecked as well as the comments box?
Sometimes an old page (they have discussion options as well) could still have the wrong settings. (Page was created before you changed the global settings.)

Yeah I mean unselected I have not got many pages on my site but I’ll have a look at them all, the thing that baffles me is it always says the comment is on this one certain page where you can’t comment
Trackbacks are different than comments. They are used to track outside links to your site.
They are a whole different checkbox in the settings. Make sure you have the trackbacks checkbox unchecked as well.
