• Hi there,

I’m not sure if anyone has had this problem but I am running WordPress 2.7 on my server and it seems to work fine, except sometimes when my posts get longer than around 1000 words, I start to have random timeout errors when I click “update”, it just goes to a white/blank screen in firefox or IE says “Internet explorer cannot display this webpage”. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do? When I get this timeout error, I can copy+paste paragraphs I have already typed and it will update fine, but not when I type what I originally wanted to :S strange..

Is it because there is too much data for the server to process? How can I check ?

It may be your SQL database being overloaded. Or it may be that you have too many ping sites listed.

Oh ok, do you know how I can check this. My blog is not huge by any means.. but I haven’t really touched anything in my SQL database apart fom create a database to set wordpress up on it. Do I need to get to it through Cpanel and change something?

    Cheers for your reply.

The status bar at the bottom just stays at “Waiting for http://domain.com” for about 10 seconds before the whole page goes blank and the address bar is “http://domain.com/wp-admin/page.php”
Usually when I update a post and it’s working properly the status bar will flicker betweeen waiting for “http://domain.com” and “Connected to..” and “transferring..” etc, but not when it hangs…
