    Hello,

I wonder if someone can help with a conflict I am having with MU Domain Mapping Plugin and Events Calendar Pro functionality.

I have successfully added the plugin and remapped a subdomain of my multisite network, which works just fine ( thank you ).

    Main site http://partnershipsfordevelopment.net/
    Sub domain http://zambia.partnershipsfordeveopment.net/
    Remapped domain http://zbidf.org/

My problem is some aspects Events Calendar Pro functionality, specifically the drop down is missing from ‘View As’ menu on the Events Listing page and the Google Maps is also missing from the individual events pages.

The problem manifests after activating the Domain Mapping plugin, all worked just perfectly on the original subdomain. In fact I duplicated the whole site, to test on the development site below, and it works just fine.

    http://zambiadev.partnershipsfordevelopment.net/events/( no domain mapping )
    http://zbidf.org/events/ ( mapped domain )

I have been in touch with Events Pro support, and this is the thread that has brought be to this point.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/mapped-domain-and-events-calendar/ – post-948670

We have identified the following differences between dev and live which may point towards a solution.

    ——————–

One thing that stands out to me is that on your development site, the tribe-events-pro JavaScript file being loaded is the minified version (tribe-events-pro.min.js), while on http://zbidf.org/events/, the version being loaded is the full, un-minified script (tribe-events-pro.js).

I’m not quite sure why this is, but I think if we can get the minified version loading on your live site instead of the un-minified version, this problem may go away.

    ——————-

I am sure there is a solution, and it may well be my inexperience with domains etc. I am hoping that combined knowledge will lead to a solution, for myself and others that come across this.

I have used an IP addres and not a CNAME to map the domain, also I have the primary domain set as ZBIDF.org

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give in resolving this,

    Maria

  • I’m looking at this weeks after your post, so things definitely could have changed…

When I look with the Firefox Console, it shows files being loaded with mixed domain names:

    GET
    http://zbidf.org/wp-content/plugins/menu-icons/css/extra.css [HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified 461ms]
    GET
    http://zambia.partnershipsfordevelopment.net/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/vendor/bootstrap-datepicker/css/datepicker.css [HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified 340ms]
    GET
    http://zambia.partnershipsfordevelopment.net/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/vendor/jquery/smoothness/jquery-ui-1.8.23.custom.css [HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified 349ms]

I have detailed installation and configuration instructions for the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin

Have you properly set “Primary” when mapping the domain? You mention you have.

From /wp-admin/network/sites.php, does the mapping show?

From the same page, when you click on Edit for a site, does the proper URL show as a headline near the top of the page?

Does the plugin have a place for the site URL?
