• s2member’s documentation is way out of date when it comes to setting up the integration with Amazon s3/Cloudfront CDN. I really really wish the tutorials had been updated years ago when Amazon changed the way they do things. Anyway I’ve been banging my head against this for days trying to get things to work, and I have the s3 bucket alone working fine with s2member, but whenever I try to configure the CloudFront integration, I get the following error:

Unable to auto-configure Amazon CloudFront Distributions.
Error code: -98. Error Message: Unable to update existing Amazon S3 ACLs. Unable to acquire existing Amazon S3 Bucket ACLs. Connection failed.

Has anyone overcome this problem or can anyone help? I have also started an urgent support ticket but I still haven’t received a response although it’s been 3 business days and I’m a paying Pro user. I need to get this setup asap as our old server has gone to crap (I configured all of this to interact manually years ago before s2member supported it natively) and we need to move to the new setup asap. I have loved this plugin and REALLY would like to be able to take advantage of the native integration with Amazon. We’re losing money here!

I’ve tried these steps to no avail: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-playing-cloudfront-hosted-video

I should add that s2member successfully created 2 CloudFront distrobutions and an Origin Access Identity, but it’s still marked as NOT configured in the plugin and streaming still doesn’t work (and attempting to configure cloudfront breaks the simple s3-only download links that previously worked), even after waiting for those distros to fully deploy.
