Twentytwelve remove white space around header image

    Hi there,

    I can’t seem to get rid of the white space around the header image in twentytwelve.

    I have created a child theme to make the changes. When I change something in firebug, I can see the change in my browser. But when I enter this in my style.css nothing happens!!!

    The first few changes I made in my style.css are visible in my browser but after that, every change I make I don’t see any result.

    Any help will be much appreciated!

    Even when I make a simple change like:

    .site-content {
   background-color: red;
}

    I see the preview of the result in Firebug, but when I put this in the style.css file of my Child Theme, nothing happens…
