I like to keep my pages contained within an appropriate directory structure.

With this in mind, my preference is to have all activity for this plugin within a ‘support’ directory.

I can set the ‘submit’ and ‘my tickets’ accordingly, with a /support/submit’ type link but individual tickets are outside of the ‘support’ directory structure.

I don’t think I missed anything in the config, so is this something which can be done?

This is possible, but surely not easy. You will need to change the way the post type is registered by using the wpas_ticket_type_args filter and then create a custom redirect rule.

I suggest you check out this tutorial and apply to your case: http://vocecommunications.com/blog/2010/11/adding-rewrite-rules-for-custom-post-types/

    Thanks.

Honestly though, it’s just not worth the effort.

If I had a tech brain, I might question why it wasn’t an easier process – especially as the ‘submit’ and ‘my tickets’ pages already seem to behave accordingly.

    But I don’t, and so I won’t. No worries.

Unfortunately it’s due to WordPress rewriting system. Their system works great but it is just not possible to have something that covers every possibility. Sorry I couldn’t help more.

    Thanks.
Good attitude I wish others were so conscientious.
    It’s a good plugin – works well.
