Hey,
I just tested both of these widgets and they seem to display fine. What exactly is going wrong?

Greetings Hannah
I think you have to log in and add some of the menu widgets to see what is happening.
I also have added the woocommerce filter by price and that does not show up either.
Not sure how to get you an email with some log-in details but would appreciate assistance in trying to track down why this is happening on the site.

Hey Hannah
Well it appears that no matter what theme I put across the site I have the same issue with the woocommerce product category widget.
So it is not your theme, must be something to do with woocommerce.
I have done all the normal trouble shooting like deactivating all the plug ins except woomcommerce and there is no difference.
When adding the category widget to the primary side bar I only get a few of the woocommerce categories show up not all of them.
Never struck something like this before..

Greetings All
Found the answer to this issue. Under WooCommerce Status there is a tools button. Under that button there is a recount products and some other great tools to clear sessions and the like.
Once I had cleaned out all caches and others stuff in wordpress all the categories on the woocommerce product categories widget appeared as they should.
May help someone else as I had been struggling for months to resolve this issue.

Glad you figured it out, and thanks for sharing!

I’m having the same problem, but have had no luck fixing it.
When I add the WooCommerce widget to show product categories in the sidebar, only certain categories appear.
Have activated show sidebar on shop pages, have resaved each category, have removed and reinserted the widget. Have used the status tools. But each refresh or insert some other random category only shows – or 3 or 4 only show.
Using both Virtue and WooCommerce free versions
any ideas?

My bad… I didn’t have any products uploaded into those categories and had “hide category if empty” function selected. Once products had been assigned, the widget/sidebar was perfect.
mjgjhb,
Glad you figured this out! In the future please post in a topic that isn’t resolved or start a new thread as it is easy for resolved topics to get overlooked:)
