AccessKey Id is not registered for Product Advertising API

    I got the access key id, and the secret access key. I even made a new one after the fact, and used those access codes in the plugin in case there was an error with the first (Both were correctly copied down, with the right secret access code with the right access key.)
    However, what I do, I am getting errors saying that my accesskey id is not registered for product advertising API.
    Any Suggestions? Should I just delete the account and redo it?

    Make sure that your keys are ROOT keys and not user or group keys.
    That is main reason that this error is thrown.

    Amazon has this big recommendation message when you log in that recommends that you use User or Group keys. What they don’t say is that the Product Advertising API can ONLY use the root keys and not the others. I really do wish they would either update the Product Advertising API to use the other keys, or update their massage to say to “except when using the Product Advertising API”.

    I found my root keys,
    But it still seems to be giving me errors. Nothing shows up when I put in a product.

    Make sure you clear the product cache (under the plugin menu, Product Cache).

    If you still have a problem, send your site URL and Debug key to plugins@fischercreativemedia.com and we will take a look at the debug log.
