Cannot change permalink "-2"

    Some of my website pages are stuck with the “-2” at the end of the permalinks, although there are no copies of these pages. I deleted them. What could be stopping it from changing?

    – have you checked trash bin, draft bin?

    – have you tried flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.

    – If the above steps don’t help, try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and renaming your WordPress .htaccess file. If that works, then try reading Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure again.
