• hello,
i configure on my website/woocmmerece, that my shop page will shown categories and not products.
its been done here: Woocommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Display
i choose on Shop Page Display -> Show categories & subcategories

but only 3 of 5 categories shown on my Shop Page.
any idea what might be the problem?

    * i have access to the categories that not shown by enter direct URL.
    * if i change to see products on Shop Page, so i can see even the products from the categories which not shown.

    thanks!
    my website:

p.s. even its in hebrew (part of my website), its easy to see only 3 categories

  • Hey @do0rway, do you have products assigned for the missing categories?

    yeah of course i have,
as i mention, if i choose to see products on Shop Page, and not categories, so i can see even the products from the missing categories.
    thanks

    @do0rway – are your missing categories actually sub-categories? i.e.

    -category
    ---sub-category (missing)
    ---sub-category (missing)
    - category

If so, that could be the way your theme is designed – to only show categories and not the sub-categories.

I noticed you’re using Avada – that theme has a ton of options. You’d be better asking over there at their support forums, they may be better placed to help you.

    sure i will ask them.
and missing is categories, and not subcategories…..
by the way, as well if i put a widget to show all the “Product Categories”
they missing from there as well.

i’ll try talk with avada, and update here, if ever figure it out

    thanks!

ok i was talking with avada support,
so i did change to default wordpress theme, and still same issue, only 3 categories.
so i guess its nothing to do with the Avada them.

    any other ideas?
    thanks!!

Are you 100% sure your missing categories have published products assigned to them? That’s the only thing I can think of.

Could one of your category names be breaking the display of them perhaps? I know Woo/WP is multi-lingual, so should work fine with Hebrew, but maybe one unusual character is causing a problem?

Perhaps try creating an extra test category, with the same name as one of the categories showing, and assign a product, see if your site displays it?

as you recommended, i did add new category in english, attach 1 product, and yeah it shown!

now, i change one hebrew category that missing, to english, the Slug and Name. but its still not shown, or i need to make new category, and add all products again?

i add new Hebrew category make new product . and its shown. (call it test in hebrew).
after that i change it to the one of the category names i had problem with, and its still shown, so i think its mean no problem with the names.

i even try to change photo, and no luck.
i tell you something, it might be the problem, i used “all import” plugin to add the products by CSV file. might be some kind of problem to make this issue?

i’ll try add again and change name of category to hebrew only after.
    thanks again!

    yeah!! thats was the problem.
probably when i upload my CSV products files, i had some problem. maybe even with the server.

as i uploaded each category separately , thats why some of them succeed.

    thanks to everybody here!
