    Hey NewsMom!

    Thanks for reaching out here.

As I mention in the FAQ, my plugin doesn’t remove the date from category or archive pages. I tried to implement that, and it was the WordPress equivalent of picking up a half-rotten log in the woods: way more bugs than before. 🙂

The problem is that there is no (stated or assumed) standard on how themes identify which date to use on categories and archive pages. Some use the date of the first post in that category, some use the last post in that category. So my plugin either removes all or none. So, even if I were to be able to remove them, category and archive pages only give out one date, so all the dates on that category page would be removed or none of them.

    That’s the long version.

The short version is that you could wholesale remove the date from those pages using by modifying theme files. There’s not going to be an elegant solution to remove the dates from just some posts on archive pages, at least that uses the post date as the deciding factor.

Sorry to not be of more help, here!

    Hi Ben,

Can you help me remove all of the dates?

I’ve searched online and found various codes to embed in my CCS or Child Themes, but I’m new to all of this and I must be doing something wrong.

I also tried using the other date remover plugin, but the dates still remain on my category pages.

    Hey Newsmom,

I can help with that, but it’d fall outside the scope of free support for my plugin. If you’d like to discuss my rates for that, email me at ben (at) benandjacq.com

    Thanks!
