    Hello,

First of all : thank a lot for this plugin !!
I was clean my wordpress of severals plugin, when i discovered this one ! It’s seams to be the solution for a lot of problem !

But, if i understand how to used it, I don’t always know if I can deactivate un plugin or not.
For some plugin, it’s seams obvious.

For exemple activate un plugin showing a slide-show on a page this is ok , I Understand. (I want It or not on this page).

What I’m not sure to understand (and so to make the right choices) , is to activate or not pluging witch works “only” on the wordpress backoffice (admin) .

    For exemple :
    – Akismet : can I deactivate it ? (Even on a page where I have comments ? )
    – Broken-link-checker : if I deactivate it on my pages, will it still see broken link on those pages ?

    – Wp Google Authorship
    – Google XML Sitemaps
    – Google Analytics
    – Redirection

I wish i can deactivate all those one from my pages (in order to increase the speed of the page) , but i’m not sure i can … (in fact , in not sure of how they works, and how also works this plugin). Thats why i ask for help. Witch one is a good idea to deactivate , witch one is a bad idea ?

    Best
    Alex

PS : sorry for my english

If you deactivate a plugin for any page then it is not loaded. Anything that it is supposed to do doesn’t get done. So if you deactivate Broken Link Checker it will not see broken links.

    Hello Jeff,
    Thank you for your answer.
I’ve tried to activate and deactivate plugins, and see on the code source of the page what’s happen .

I conclued that , i have better to let almost all plugin activate, and only deactivate the one i’m shure they won’t be need .
For exemple Akismet : I don’t need it on a page with no contents.

One of the particularity of your plugin , to activate ou deactivate un plugin for mobile, could be used to reduce time for mobile loading ? I mean : if I activate Broken Link Checker for Standard, i deactivate it for mobile, it will still works on the web site, and allowed an increase of time loading for mobile . Wright ?

    Best ,
    Alexandre

Akismet should really only be necessary on the page that accepts your comments. You should be able to disable it everywhere else. So disabling it globally and enabling it on http://www.yoursite.com/wp-comments-post.php should still allow it to work in theory. I personally don’t use Akismet.

Disabling Broken Link Checker for mobile will speed up your site for mobile if that plugin does a lot of work when it is loaded.
